Cinemor77 are delighted to be working with Electric Fields to  bring you an eclectic mix of hand-picked films to the festival to help them celebrate life, music and film

We will screen over 50 films in the 2 days of the festival as part of 2017 Yurt Cinema Tour of Scotland which is supported by Creative Scotland. We are delighted to be working with Glasgow Short Film Festival, The Scottish Documentary Institute and The University Of West of Scotland and many others to bring you this programme.

From family animations to warm-hearted classics, political documentary to experimental forms we aim to inform, challenge and entertain.

Below are some specially selected highlights of the festival for the full programme for each day go to Friday and Saturday

Highlights Friday

3pm – Cinemor77 – Family Friendly Shorts (U) – Animations and cartoons for all the family

6pm Moon Man (U) – The Man in the Moon is bored so he hitches a ride to Earth and starts to explore. But all is not well…

8pm – Where You’re Meant to Be (15) – a funny wee film about music and death

10pm – Withnail and I (15) – join us to celebrate 30 years since the release of one of the finest films known to humanity

Highlights Saturday

12pm –  Zarafa (PG) – Maki escapes from slave traders to become the protector of Zarafa, an orphaned giraffe, who becomes his best friend as they travel together on a magical journey.

2pm – Wee Linties presents The Travelling Archive – Wee Linties are inviting you out to play! We’ll be learning some of the songs and games featured in The Singing Street and having a wee go at making up our own.

3pm – From the Sea to the Land Beyond (U) – From the Sea to the Land Beyond is a unique collaboration between award-winning filmmaker Penny Woolcock and British Sea Power. Using BFI Archive Footage, the film explores the role the coast plays in our lives; whether it’s a trip into busy, colourful seaside towns or the remote Scottish Isles.

8pm – Pride (15) – The story of an unlikely friendship forged between a community of striking Welsh miners and a group of gay and lesbian activists

10pm – The Great Hip Hop Hoax (18) – Californian hip-hop duo Silibil n’ Brains were going to be massive. What no-one knew was the pair were really students from Scotland, with fake American accents and made up identities.
