The Pyramid at Anderston is hosting Cinemor77’s magical Yurt Cinema over the winter months. Please check back as the schedule will be updated as we add more movies and events.

Some screenings are free, thanks to funding from Glasgow Community Planning Partnership Anderston/City/Yorkhill Area Partnership/Glasgow City Council. Musicals are are only £5/£2.50 per ticket and part of BFI Musicals, the Greatest Show on Screen!

The Yurt Cinema is an intimate and unique experience and the best bit is, thanks to our funders, that we’re able to offer extremely affordable or free tickets and snacks. Holding between 25 – 40 people, it offers top quality HD screening and sound in a magical and cosy setting. There are a few chairs for anyone who needs them, but we encourage you to snuggle down on comfy beanbags and cushions and relax! We have fresh warm popcorn, sweets, hot chocolate and drinks – and no big chain cinema prices!

The Yurt Cinema is situated in our Sanctuary space, which is only accessible by stairs (we do have a stairlift). We are based in a 1960s building and currently fundraising for a lift. If you have access requirements, please contact ailsa@thepyramid.scot and we’ll do our best to help and advise.

What’s a Yuppie ghost couple (Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin) to do when their quaint New England home is overrun by trendy New Yorkers? Hire a freelance “bio-exorcist”; to spook the intruders, of course. Paisley Halloween Festival – Scratch ‘n’ Sniff screenings of Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit! (2005) (U)

In this Aardman classic Wallace and his loyal dog, Gromit, set out to discover the mystery behind the garden sabotage that plagues their village and threatens the annual giant vegetable growing contest. After starting a pest control business, the duo soon lands a job from the alluring Lady Tottington to stop a giant rabbit from destroying the town’s crops. Both Wallace and the stuffy Victor vie for the lady’s affections. If Wallace wants to please his pretty client, and bet Victor, he will need to capture that pesky bunny.

For this special Scratch n Sniff screening, audience members will be given a scratch card containing ten weird and wonderful odours that link to key scenes within the film. When prompted, viewers will be invited to scratch and sniff the gel odour. Promising olfactory amusement for audiences of all ages.

Sea Change is a professional development lab and public film festival celebrating Women in Film, taking place on the beautiful and remote Isle of Tiree. 

Now in it’s second year, the 2019 public programme will celebrate the life and work of the iconic French film director Agnes Varda and will mark the centenary of Orkney film-maker Margaret Tait with a screening of Blue Black Permanent, the first Scottish feature film directed by a woman. The festival showcases films from around the world with a wide range of screenings, short films, guest speakers, workshops, live music and family events.
