Cinemor77 are delighted to be working with Belladrum to be bring you an eclectic mix of hand-picked films to the festival to help them celebrate life, music and The Summer of Love.
We will screen over 70 films in the 3 days of the festival as part of 2017 Yurt Cinema Tour of Scotland which is supported by Creative Scotland. We are delighted to be working with Glasgow Short Film Festival, Film G, The Scottish National Film Archive, The Scottish Documentary Institute, The University Of West of Scotland and many others to bring you this programme.

On a beautiful June weekend in 1967, at the beginning of the Summer of Love, the first Monterey International Pop Festival roared forward, capturing a decade’s spirit and ushering in a new era of rock and roll. Monterey featured career-making performances by Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Otis Redding, but they were just a few among a wildly diverse cast that included Simon and Garfunkel, the Mamas and the Papas, the Who, the Byrds, Hugh Masekela, and the extraordinary Ravi Shankar. With his characteristic verite style, D. A. Pennebaker captured it all, immortalizing moments that have become legend:

Wyatt (Peter Fonda) and Billy (Dennis Hopper), two Harley-riding hippies, complete a drug deal in Southern California and decide to travel cross-country in search of spiritual truth. After a terrifying drug experience in New Orleans, the two travelers wonder if they will ever find a way to live peacefully in America
