Solar Movie was a commission from German rock band Grobschnitt ( `Roughcut`). Grobschnitt were based in Hagen, in the Ruhr valley and recorded and toured from 1970 to 1989, stretching musically over this time from Prog Rock and Psychedelia to German New Wave.
