12-1pm Discovery Film Festival – Shorts for Wee Ones (U) – Short films from around the world for some of the youngest audiences at the festival, chosen from a whole range of different countries: this year we journey to France, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and the USA. All these short films are in English or are dialogue free. These magical tales will delight children age 3+ and are a colourful introduction to the cinema experience.
4pm The Princess Bride (PG) Robin Wright and Cary Elwes star in this fairytale adventure about a beautiful princess and the gallant hero who rescues her from an evil villain. An enchanting classic of King’s, Queens and much more for the whole family.
7-9pm Isle of Dogs (PG) -When, by executive decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to Trash Island, 12-year-old Atari sets off in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of his newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate of the entire Prefecture
9.30pm The Last Burrah Sahibs (PG) – A warm and entertaining one-man-show fusing unique archive video and live storytelling about the lives of ordinary Scottish mill workers in the old jute colonies along the Hooghly river in twentieth century Bengal. By popular Calcutta-born Edinburgh storyteller, Max Scratchmann.
